Now before you start … yes social media is a fantastic way to get yourself out there and generate inquiries, but it isn’t enough.
People are looking for more information! They want to educate themselves on your offerings and see more of your work. If you don’t have that information ready for them it’s easy for them to assume you’re not established enough or that you don’t care enough. Yikes.
Not only that, if your website is not-efficient or nonexistent you’re probably having to spend a lot of time in phone calls and emails explaining things.
Creating a website shows your future clients that you are a legitimate business. You are serious about what you do, and you want to give them all the information they need in order to make the right choice. That being to book you of course!
So what to do? There are two choices:

While we focus on creating custom websites, we are not going to delude you into thinking templates are bad. In fact, we encourage clients with small budgets or an undefined brand to start with a template. There are a lot of great ones out there, and if they showcase your photography and educate your clients then that’s the best start!
We really like Showit templates because they allow for easy customization and fun designs.
Squarespace is also a great starting point.
WordPress might be a little more complicated for un-savvy folks, but their SEO and plugins are bomb for photographers.
If you’ve been in business for a little while and you have a grasp on who you want to target and how you want to be seen, then it’s time to invest in working with a professional.
In doing this, not only do you save loads of stress, headaches and time! And time is money. You can rest knowing the outcome is going to be geared towards GROWTH.
Having a unique website that reflects and enhances your photography allows for clients to quickly see your talent and feel a sense of trust.
Having a professionally designed website creates page outlines that encourage engagement. Because the main point is for people to contact you, right?
